Hi my lovelies, hope you're all well!
If you're from the UK like I am you may also be experiencing 'the beast from the east'. Where I am we've had minus temperatures, heavy snowfall and about 6 inches of snow settle so far, which has meant that I can't get to college so I thought I'd write a post about my go-to winter essentials.
My first real essential is a really thick and warm winter coat. My two favourites are my Marmot (first picture) and my Canada Goose (second picture). I've had my marmot for a few years now and it is honestly one of the best winter coats I've ever had – its so warm, waterproof and windproof and doesn't have the biggest price tag attached which is always a bonus! However if you have a bit more to spend I can't even begin to explain how incredible my Canada Goose is! I bought it in New York over christmas when temperatures were -19 and even in those temperatures it kept me so warm and I love the little bit of extra length it has.
A good moisturiser
I don't know about you but I have naturally dry skin which is then made a million times worse by icy cold winds so using a good face moisturiser day and night is so important for me. The best one I've found is this plain aloe vera gel from amazon which cost me about £6 and has lasted me around a year. It's so nourishing and moisturises without feeling sticky or heavy, and I've found that its helped so much with keeping my skin spot free!
